Background

Kiangoi Factory is managed by the Rung’eto Cooperative Society, which is located in Kirinyaga, near Embu Town. The factory has about 1400 smallholder farmers who deliver cherries to this wet mill. The coffee is about 90% SL 34, with the other varieties and cultivars comprising 10%. The farmers who of the cooperative cultivate their crops on Mount Kenya's slopes, an agricultural environment known for producing intense, complex, and flavour-dense coffees. Kiangoi Factory is no stranger to us when it comes to classic, high quality washed Kenyan coffees and we love this lot for its complex fruit qualities and lingering floral finish.
