El Salvador - Finca El Carmen

This is our third year purchasing coffee from the Alfaro family, who own Finca El Carmen. El Carmen lies in the centre of El Salvador’s main ‘protected highway’ of forest, a part of the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor System that stretches from Mexico down to Panama. This is a distinctively fruity espresso for milk. It has a strong flavour of sultanas and honey that cut through milk well.

Although we sourced and roasted this especially for milk espresso drinkers, this coffee can also be enjoyed black if you prefer a richer mouthfeel, a slightly lower acidity, and more sugar-browning flavours, compared to the range of coffees we prefer to showcase solely as black coffees, be it in a filter or espresso format.
