The Rodriguez family is responsible for revolutionising coffee production in Bolivia. They run a coffee business that involves farming, exporting, and processing. It is led by Pedro Rodriguez and his 2 children, Daniela and Pedro Pablo. The Rodriguez family own and operate 12 farms across Bolivia. Waliki is one of their high-altitude coffee farm in Caranavi, Bolivia, and the name comes from the indigenous Andean language of Aymara. It is both a greeting and a response: “How’s everything?” and “All good'“. The name was chosen to honour heritage and celebrate optimistic beginnings. The Waliki farm was established as a test site for 100% organic farming practices. Though the farm is not yet certified organic, it is managed entirely according to organic principles, with a focus on oil health, biodiversity, and natural pest control.
We enjoy the Java varietals coming from the Rodriguez family’s farms over the years. They have a soft fruit tone with nice aromatics lifting the cup.
