The Morales farm is 6-hectares large and named after the abundant wild blackberries that grow in the town of Nuevo Belen, within Lonya Grande in Peru. This coffee comes to us from Nordic Approach and was sourced via their partner in Peru, Norcafe Cooperative. This farm is family-run and Roiber, the owner, is a founder of Gocta Coffee, a Peruvian company founded in 2021 to support the development of small coffee producers in Lonya Grande, and connect them with international markets. The goal is to improve quality in coffee production and create more opportunities for the communities who are involved in this project. Through the cooperative’s programme, farmers are able to receive higher premiums for their coffees and can also receive education and training for pre-harvest processes such as weeding.
Roiber’s geisha has a strong aromatic of potpourri and a deep purple fruit sweetness highlighted by processing his coffee as a natural.
