Olman Urena is a third generation coffee farmer with more than 40 years of experience under his belt. He named his farm Finca Tonita, after his wife, Maria Nidia Antonia, known to her friends affectionately as “Tonita”. For over 20 years, Olman has worked closely with a micromill called Palmichal, operated by NKG, which has state-of-the-art facilities and implements innovative processing methods. This has allowed Olman to receive a premium for his coffees.
Olman’s Caturra is a great comfort cup as a milk espresso, with nice dried fruit acidity and sweetness like honey.
Although we sourced and roasted this especially for milk espresso drinkers, this coffee can also be enjoyed black if you prefer a richer mouthfeel, a slightly lower acidity, and more sugar-browning flavours, compared to the range of coffees we prefer to showcase solely as black coffees, be it in a filter or espresso format.
