This is a classic washed coffee from the Nyeri region of Kenya, that stands in interesting contrast to the natural lot we got from the same Factory. It is juicy, vibrant, and aromatic and we imagine this to be like Ribena as an iced coffee - perfect for the heat in this season!
For this washed coffee, the Factory selected ripe cherries that were hand-picked and delivered on the same day. The coffee is fermented in tanks for about 16 to 24 hours after depulping, and then washed in clean river or spring water. The added step of fermentation lends bright and deep fruit character to this coffee.
