We are so glad to welcome Alo coffee back into our inventory after a year of waiting. This is such a treat from Tamiru Tadesse and in many ways, it tastes like a washed Ethiopian heirloom coffee on steroids. The acidity is sweet, juicy and distinctive, and the aromatics are super floral. This is such a top-shelf representation of coffees grown in Sidama. This processing is called “Special Washed” because Tamiru fermented the cherries horizontally in a barrel for more evenness across the cherries, before processing them as a traditional washed coffee. The flavour outcome is something that is high definition and absolutely delicious.
